Thanks to Dick de Roover for his leadership in setting up this blog site and for inspiring the members and friends of Woodhaven Community Church to read through the Bible in 2010!
I especially want to encourage the first-timers. If you have never attempted to read the whole Bible, this is your chance to discover: (1) that it's really not hard to read a book this size when you pace yourself, (2) that reading the Bible will change the way you look at the world, and (3) that when you read Scripture on a daily basis, you come to have an intimacy with God that can't be achieved any other way.
What's especially nice about this is that we will do it together! Dick has done an excellent job with the organizational details. Ask whatever questions you want along the way...and we will do our best to answer them! Post comments about what you're discovering. Share prayer requests, struggles...whatever.
Let's come together and make 2010 the best year yet in our relationship with Jesus Christ!
